Today is the shortest day of the year; the Winter Solstice no less. And as revellers mass at Stonehenge, I thought it'd be nice to share an image of the famous henge taken earlier in 2016.
This was shot on an Olympus OM-D E5 MkII and 12-60mm F/2.8 lens, tripod mounted and shot using the camera's HDR mode.
Five images were made, then merged to HDR in Adobe Lightroom, then processed to black and white (also in Lightroom) tweaking the background and foreground for shadows and highlights, to suit the look we wanted.
Finally a light vignette was added to add emphasis on the stones .
So only a very short blog update today, but I hope you like the shot and don't forget to check back soon.
Happy Christmas and New Year. Doug and Sue.
