A Hot House… with Flowers

Capture and Create Delphinium Photographic

Workshop at Godinton House, Kent

Clear skies, stunning scenery and scorching temperatures were all part of the superb Delphinium Workshop day at Godinton House, on what turned out to be a searing day; in fact the hottest day this year and the hottest since those long hot summer days of 1976. Plenty of cool water, lashings of superb grub and camera kit galore were the order of the day.

Our exclusive visit to Godinton House was timely indeed, because the Delphiniums had bloomed early this year. Getting a special day all to ourselves a week early before the Godinton House Delphinium Spectacular was a real boom for all students and the photography. We had plants replete with stunning blooms and wonderful colours, ranging from the traditional pale and deep blues through to pastel pinks and near whites. Plus the formal and “wild” gardens and all the other plants, more than you can shake a 28-200mm lens at!

Godinton House

Godinton House is surely one of Kent’s most beautiful “hidden” stately homes and so stay tuned and look out for more upcoming workshops at this stunning Kentish venue.
